This event is held the first Tuesday in August each year.

This year it will be August 4th, 2009.

Why
The intent of the event is to bring alumni together in a relaxed setting
along with raising funding for CM. The funds generated from this outing have a strong impact assuring Construction Management at MSU maintains its stature as one of the nation's best. Also student volunteers get to mingle with the alumni which many internships and employment opportunities have been stemmed from this annual event.

How the funds are used
The funds are allocated each year by the full CM Alumni Board and vary widely. For 2008/2009 the funds where used or allocated to:

  • Purchase $10,000 in computers so our competition teams had state of the art equipment to compete in national competitions

  • Fund 2 Board members to attend the ACCE meeting preparing for the upcoming CM accreditation review

  • $2500 was allocated towards a CM Newsletter

  • $1000 was allocated towards CM Hall of fame bringing that total to over $12,000

  • $1,250 was allocated towards the recognition fund

  • A survey was funded which was sent out to select alumni to gather data to assure the current curriculum is in line with what industry needs are for our graduates

  • Just under $1,500 was allocated to the rainy day fund bringing that total to over $13,000
