Landscape Architecture Club
The Landscape Architecture Club is an MSU Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Students participate in various activities each year, under the direction of their faculty advisor. For more information about the group please email the LA Club at laclub@msu.edu.
Michigan State University American Society of Interior Designers Student Chapter (MSU/ASID)
MSU/ASID is the student chapter of the national interior design professional organization; membership is encouraged for all interior design majors. The American Society of Interior Designers Headquartered in Washington, D.C. This national organization works to promote education and professionalism in the interior design industry. MSU/ASID has an important history and continually ranks as one of the largest student chapters in the nation. For more information about the group please email ASID at asid@msu.edu.
Sigma Lambda Chi (SLC)
SLC is the national honor society for construction students. Organized at MSU by Professor William B. Lloyd in 1949, MSU holds the alpha charter. To qualify for membership, students must have an accumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. The society's objectives are to promote academic excellence; to serve the field of construction; to promote good relations among academia, the industry, and the public; and to recognize outstanding professionals in the construction and allied fields.
Student Builders and Contractors Association (SBCA)
SBCA promotes the exploration of options in the construction industry and career goals. Membership is open to all BCM students and affiliated majors. Throughout the academic year the association conducts regular meetings on industry-related topics. Programs have featured contractors, developers, bankers, building inspectors, and attorneys specializing in construction. SBCA is supported by the Associated General Contractors of America and the National Association of Home Builders.
Urban & Regional Planning Student Association (URPSA)
Urban and Regional Planning Student Association (URPSA) is the student organization of the Urban and Regional Planning Program. The group exists to promote the personal, professional, and intellectual development of urban and regional planning students and to facilitate and encourage active participation in program, university, and community matters.
