Where do I make an appointment?
Appointments are available to schedule online at Advising Appointment System. Appointments are put into the system every Monday for the following week only.
How do I change my major?
- If you have fewer than 56 credits, first you should meet with your appropriate SPDC Advisor to review requiremetns, Second, go to your local UUD office to do the paperwork.
- If you have 56 or more credits, then you must meet with the appropriate SPDC Advisor to find out your options.
How to transfer things back to MSU?
Check Tranfer MSU. Once you have earned 56 redits, you may NOT transfer from a 2 year/community college.
Which of the SPDC Majors are restricted admissions?
Interior Design, Construction Management, and Landscape Architecture all require upper division admission. Please discuss the requirements with your SPDC Advisor.
I was denied admission, what are my other major options?
CM: Food Industry Management, Agribusiness Management, Economics, Retailing
ID: Apparel and Textile Design, Art History, Studio Art, Communication, Hospitality Business, Retailing
LA: Horticulture
How do I get an override?
For CM/IDES/LA/UP classes, come to the Student Service Office, 112 Human Ecology, to request an override. Requesting does not guarantee an override. For all other MSU courses, go to the department that offers the calss to request an override.
My classes were dropped from my schedule, what do I do?
For CM/IDES/LA/UP classes, come to the Student Service Office to be added back into the classes (if there are still openings). For all other MSU courses, go to the department that offers the class and request to be added back in.
