About Us
The School of Planning, Design and Construction (SPDC) is a part of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) at Michigan State University. It consists of four separately accredited programs: Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Urban and Regional Planning and Construction Management. Under the leadership of Dr. Scott G. Witter, faculty and staff work daily to provide a quality educational experience for students in these fields, encouraging the creativity and innovation that drive these industries.
School Vision
We will be known for leading the integration of planning, design, and construction to create a sustainable built and natural environment that enriches communities, economic and family life through leadership, entreprenurial creativity, social responsibility, cultural relevance, and environmentally sustainable planning and policy.
