Construction Management Program Scholarships
Additional scholarships available to Construction Management students from other sources outside of the CM Program can be found on the External Scholarships page.
Construction Management alumni, program friends, and industry generously provide funding for CM scholarships. Scholarship amounts vary up to $2,000 and are for educational purposes, i.e., tuition, books, room and board.

Construction Management Scholarship Selection Criteria
Construction Management Scholarships are determined by competition among the students within the Construction Management major. Competition is based on the general criteria below:
General Criteria
- Academic Performance - Primary Consideration
- Professional Work Experience
- Commitment to the Construction Industry
- Extracurricular Construction Management Activities & Involvement
- Construction Management Courses Completed
Special Circumstances
A select number of individual scholarships have specific guidelines that incorporate criteria related to special circumstances. Special circumstances are listed below. Students who meet the special circumstances compete for these scholarships.
- Non-Traditional Student Status (i.e., individual returning to school to complete his or her education)
- Students whose college goals have been impacted, directly or indirectly, by the disease of cancer
Graduate Fellowships:
- Graduate fellowship funds are available to be awarded to graduate students as well as other scholarship funds. Graduate students applying for CM Scholarships will automatically be considered for graduate fellowships.
Scholarship Eligibility & Application Requirements
- Applicants must have completed a minimum of one semester at Michigan State University by the end of Fall Semester 2006.
- Applicants must have a minimum MSU cumulative grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (3.5 for graduate students) to be considered for any scholarship.
- Applicants must be classified as a full time student during the semester or semesters the awarded funds are utilized during the 2007-08 year.

Resume
Provide a copy of your current resume with your scholarship application.
Essay
Prepare a typewritten essay, no more then one page, highlighting your academic achievements, extracurricular activities, past and present work experiences, the occupation you propose to pursue upon graduation, and your commitment to the construction industry. Please elaborate on special circumstances, using an additional 1/2 page if necessary. The conclusion of your essay will discuss your short and long-range goals.
Academic Transcript
Provide your MSU academic transcript, which you have printed from STUINFO available at:

Select the Academics menu and print off your Courses by Term.
Financial Information
Provide a copy of your 2006 - 2007 financial aid package, which you have printed from
STUINFO available at:
https://ntweb1.ais.msu.edu/stuinfo/. Select Financial
Aid and print off your awards for Fall 2006 & Spring 2007
semesters.
NOTE
All pages of your application submission are to be printed only
on one side of the page. Documents need to
be paper clipped together - NO STAPLES.

No applications will be accepted after this date and time under
any circumstances.
