Over the years, I have added various sketches to my web pages.

I selected these five from a set of over 50 sketches that I drew while I was in Europe during the fall of 2003 during a Fulbright Scholarship in Portugal. The images are:
1. the Arc d'Triomphe in Paris, France
2. the Acropolis in Athens, Greece
3. Bon Jesus do Monte in Braga, Portugal
4. the Colosseum in Rome, Italy
5. St. Peter's Square in Rome, Italy




I have included six sketches from my travels in 2004 and 2005 (also all drawn and completed right on the spot as I saw them). I have five books of sketches from 1975 until 2005, with about 150 sketches from Europe and North Africa, with the remaining sketches from the United States and Canada. If I am lucky I may complete seven or eight sketchbooks featuring my travels during my lifetime. The images are:
1. view of the Bradenburg Gate, from the Reichstag, Berlin, Germany
2. the Cinderella Castle, Disney World theme park, Florida
3. the River Avon and the Pulteney Bridge, Bath, England
4. Villa Lante, Bagnagia, Italy
5. Pompidou Center, Paris, France
6. Duomo, Siena, Italy




I have included six sketches from my travels in late 2005 and the summer of 2006 (also all drawn and completed right on the spot as I saw them). I now have seven books of sketches from 1975 until 2006, with about 190 sketches from Europe, Asia, and North Africa, with the remaining sketches from the United States and Canada. If I am lucky I may complete a few more sketchbooks featuring my travels during my lifetime. The images are:
1. view of a tea house in Suzhou, P.R. of China
2. the Blue Mosque, Istanbul, Turkey
3. a sketch of the Everglades during the ASLA annual meeting
4. Mykonos, Greece
5. the library at Ephesus, Turkey
6. the Cappadocia region in central Turkey




In 2006 and 2007, I traveled to China, Nepal, and Korea. These images include:
1. a drawing of Confucius and a ding at a temple in Shanghai, P.R. of China
2. an architectural feature of a dragon in the Yu Yuan gardens in Shanghai, P.R. of China
3. a tree peony garden on the grounds of the Master of the Nets house in Suzhou, P.R. of China.
4. a drawing of the ancient capital grounds in Seoul, Korea
5. a drawing of the Himalayas, near Pokhara, Nepal
6. and a painting of Mount Everest, Nepal, a view from the plane leaving Kahtmandu, Nepal hading to Seoul, Korea.
