Inspired Furniture Project: Curved Cat Chair

Class: IDES 250 CAD & Structural Systems

This chair will be designed based on Verner Panton’s design of the Panton chair. The chair will be adapted to create a new design that allows the users pet to sit on the ledge on the back. The Curved Cat Chair will be designed by adapting the curves of the Panton chair to fit the new need and by using the same finishing material. The goal of this chair is to incorporate the users pet and to make the chair more versatile. For example, rather than having to put the chair at a table, the chair could would be able to stand alone anywhere one might put it.

Dimensions: 32-1/4” H x 18-1/4” x 21” D.
