Retention/Attrition

The Interior Design Program has limited enrollment for upper division and admits up to 20 students in their junior year. *Note: Limited enrollment was reduced from 40 students to 20 students in 2013. Pre-major MSU Interior Design students must pass the Second-Year Portfolio Review to be admitted into the third year of the ID Program.

2016

  • Second-Year Review: 21 students submitted Second-Year Portfolios for review. 90.5% were accepted into the third year (9.5% attrition rate).
  • 100% of students admitted into upper division completed all required courses for the Interior Design Program in the 2015-16 academic year (100% retention/0% attrition rate).

2015

  • Second-Year Review: 23 students submitted Second-Year Portfolios for review. 87% were accepted into the third year (13% attrition rate).
  • 100% of students admitted into upper division completed all required courses for the Interior Design Program in the 2014-15 academic year (100% retention/0% attrition rate).
