Outreach

  • Community and Economic Development Program
Advancing MSU's Research Intensive Mission by creating, disseminating, and applying knowledge to improve the quality of life and the development of distressed urban and regional communities.

  • The Nonprofit Michigan Project
The Nonprofit Michigan Project investigates the scale, structure, and contribution of Michigan's nonprofit sector.

  • Practicum
This is the Program's capstone course that creates the opportunity for students to work with communities to help them reach their goals and for the students to gain valuable and realistic, hands-on experience. While many of our other classes have opportunities for students to work with communities on a variety of projects, practicum is the only class that is solely dedicated to that purpose.

  • Smart Michigan
A project to foster economic and social development through policies and plans that harness the many opportunities of the knowledge-based information age.

  • Urban Collaborators (UC)
An inter-disciplinary effort working to resolve urban issues facing Michigan's cities.

  • Urban Planning Partnerships (UPP)
Seeking to facilitate timely research and outreach on urban policy and planning issues in Michigan communities.
