Dual Master in Urban and Regional Planning/Juris Doctor degree

The dual MURP/JD degree is jointly administered by the Urban and Regional Planning Program and the MSU Detroit College of Law. This dual degree is designed for students interested in a career in law, and in urban and regional planning. The dual degree requires completion of a total of 118 credits that can be completed in 4 years of full-time study. The Urban and Regional Planning Program will accept 9 credits for transfer to the MURP program from the MSU College of Law. The College of Law will accept 9 credits for transfer to the JD degree from the Urban and Regional Planning Program.

Interested students must apply separately to the MURP program and to the JD program. Applications for admission are reviewed separately. Students must be admitted into both degree programs to be eligible for admission to the dual MURP/JD program.
